Destined

I finally believe in happy endings,
all it took was finding the one -
the man I have dreamed about
for so long though I dared not
let myself believe you existed.

Oh but you do, and you are standing
before me, saying those words
that I have waited my life so far to hear,
to believe, to embrace.

I am light headed, giddy,
overjoyed - elated!
but mostly I am yours,
